Top Five Best Places to Work Remotely in Providence, RI

Working remotely allows professionals to work outside of a traditional office environment. Luckily for the homebodies out there, remote work is on the rise. There are approximately 170 companies in the U.S. that are fully remote compared to only 26 a few years ago.

The beauty of remote work is you can stay home and work in your pajamas, cook a fresh lunch, and eliminate commute time from your day. As great as that all may be, I’ve found that sometimes I need a change of scenery to be more productive. Here are my top five go-to places to work remotely in Providence, Rhode Island.

Poindexter Coffee

11 Dorrance St, Providence

One of the most spacious cafes I’ve come across in Providence, which makes it perfect for spreading out and being productive! Their menu has hot breakfast sandwiches, freshly baked goods, hot and cold drink options, and lots more. My favorite item is the avocado toast with pickled shallots, chia seeds, sunflower seeds & basil oil.

Small Point Café

230 Westminster St, Providence

A small space with a big menu! Small Point has a breakfast and lunch menu that includes sandwiches, bagels, toasts, and salads. They source their food from local farms and orchards, making everything super fresh and tasty. When it’s cold, hunker down with a hot chocolate, or when it’s warm enough, sit out front with an iced coffee.

Rspace Cafe & Retail

101 Dyer St, Providence

Located by the Providence River, Rspace is new to the Providence scene. It’s a light and airy cafe with a very calm and peaceful atmosphere. There is plenty of comfy seating and a small retail shop on one side of the cafe. They specialize in coffee, teas and fruit drinks to pair with their selection of delicate pastries and mousses. They even have a cute little swing so you and your friends can have a quick Instagram moment! I’m a big fan of the pineapple jasmine tea with bubbles.

Schasteâ

300 Broadway, Providence

Schasteâ is a tearoom and crêperie that has over 50 looseleaf tea options, which are also available for purchase in bulk. Their crêpe menu has both sweet and savory options (the brown sugar and butter one.. yum!) that will satisfy your tastebuds no matter the time of day. AND it gets better… they make tea-flavored ice-cream and tea-infused baked goods as well!

Seven Stars Bakery

342 Broadway, Providence

You can smell the fresh bread and pastries from across the street! Seven Stars has everything from sandwiches, salads, muffins, sweets, drinks, and more. Everything is made the same day and it’s a comfortable spot to sit and stay for a while. It’s a pretty well known cafe, so it can get crowded during peak breakfast and lunch times. When it’s in season, they have the best hot apple cider around, and their cinnamon bun is to die for.

There you have it! Do you have a yummy cafe or a cozy space you love to go and get some work done? Let me know so I can try it out.
